Remarks & Notes

On a warm afternoon in the spring of 1988, a Santa Fe westbound with four-axle locomotives for power heads downhill at Woodford. Rebuilt GP30u (for "upgrade") No. 2759 is in the lead wearing the red, yellow, and black of the failed SP-Santa Fe merger. This train appears to have originated at Barstow.
