Remarks & Notes

In 1991 SNCF was in short supply of diesel locomotves needed for the construction of the high speed line LGV Nord. This problem was solved by renting NMBS/SNCB class 59 locomotives and by buying obsolete NS 2400 class locomotive. On the photo SNCF BB 62491, BB 62431 en BB 62424 with a construction train on the LGV Nord near Assevillers. The locomotives were still in their Dutch livery. SNCF renumbered them only by adding BB 6 before their original NS-numbers.
