Remarks & Notes
On December 17th, the new funicular from Schlattli to the Stoos sun terrace began operation, the steepest in the world with public service and 2 cars. While the route lies horizontally in the valley and mountain station, the cable car climbs through a total of 3 tunnels with up to 110 % (48 degrees) up the slope and climbs 744 metres in about 4 minutes, the line is 1547 metres long and the highest speed is 10 metres/second (38 km/h). The 4 cabins for up to 136 passengers rotate so that the passengers always stand on level ground. View from the mountain station with approaching car, in the background the Mythen mountains. In this part of the line, the grade is moderate only.
