As snow piles up in Lowell, MA, the A-B-A set of ex-New Haven Alco cab units in charge of Penn Central train LB-2 (Lowell, MA, to Boston via Framingham) prepares to get underway with interchange cars picked up from the Boston & Maine. These late survivors of the NH FA/FB fleet were regular power on this job into 1970.
