One last time... Santa Fe 3751 catches the morning light as it backs toward the Redondo turntable following a quick inspection of the locomotive's underside. Once in North Yard, the engine's final destination on this day, the 1927-built Baldwin would layover for the night before heading to Union Station the following day to take part in the second annual LA Union Station Holiday TrainFest & Toy Drive. While exciting, this steam up was bittersweet for those of us on the crew as it would be the last time we'd get to have her fired up for the next few years.
