Heavy snowfall in Germany for the first Advent Sunday 2017! #95 027 "Bergkönigin" (Queen of the mountains) pauses with #95 6676 "Mammut" in Rübeland. #95 027, a 2-10-2T tank steam locomotive was built by Hanomag in 1923 and intended for hauling heavy goods trains on steep lines. It is owned by the DB Museum Nürnberg and operated by the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Rübelandbahn" in Blankenburg (Harz). #95 6676, also a 2-10-2T tank steam locomotive, was built by Borsig for the "Halberstadt-Blankenburger Eisenbahn" in 1919. It is property of the Museum of Transportation Dresden. |
