| The "Clinchfield 676" ends the 50th run of the Santa Claus Special just short of Cherokee St. crossing. Here's a shot in between local citizens taking turns posing by the pilot, including a view of the 1916-built station complex with its unique clock tower. Note the temporary Clinchfield-style visor over the headlight, applied by the CSX Huntington shops. The last regularly-scheduled Clinchfield passenger train stopped here in 1954. |
