Remarks & Notes
It is just after sunrise as a pair of Burlington Northern painted SD70MACs Nos. 9621 and 9646 race north as lite power on the "Longmont Switch" at Berthoud, Colorado on October 27, 2017. The local is headed up to Fort Collins to pick up a cut of cars from the Great Western Railway.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
