A bridge replacement project on the LIRR's mainline has severed service between Mineola and Hicksville this weekend. As a result, Ronkonkoma trains, usually operated with electric MU equipment, are running with dual mode diesel equipment. Westbound trains originating in Ronkonkoma run to Bethpage, then make a reverse move over the non-electrified Central Branch, and finally run to Penn Station via the Montauk Branch. One such train is seen making a stop at Deer Park.
