Remarks & Notes
Classic Signals Ready to Fall With replacement signals up all along the Columbia Sub, it is only a matter of time before the classic SAL signals go dark. But for now, the signal mast and dwarf still proudly guard the CSXT line between Fairfax, SC and Cayce, SC. Leading the F756 local is the former Clinchfield stickered SD40-3, a nice surprise for a rare daylight run down the Columbia Sub.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
