Sand Tower Switching

On a dreary night with rain starting to fall in the late 1930s, a Baldwin Locomotive Works demonstrator 0-6-0 waits on a switch to be thrown before moving a cut of freight thru the DL&W yard at Scranton.

This image was taken as part of a night photo session at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA in support of restoring Boston & Maine 4-6-2 3713 "The Constitution" to operation. Lighting by Steve Barry.
