| I photographed this string of ANN ARBOR RAILROAD GP 35's in 1983, the day after Pere Marquette 1225 was moved into the former ANN ARBOR Shops for restoration. When the ANN ARBOR went bankrupt MICHIGAN INTERSTATE RY took over the line and used these locomotives until that firm ran out of funds. The TUSCOLA & SAGINAW BAY bought the GP 35's after it began operating over the old ANN ARBOR tracks. The first locomotive in this string, AA 386, was scrapped in 1986. |
