| An interesting lash-up of EMD locomotives pulls this afternoon's Canon City local train out of the yard at Pueblo as it heads for the massive Holcim cement plant in Portland. The locomotives are coincidentally arranged in the order in which they were built starting with oldest to youngest. The 1507 was built in 1969 for the B&O, the 1205 began life in 1977 for the Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation and finally the 1396 was ordered by the Cotton Belt in 1979. Quite a diverse history for these Geeps indeed. |
