Remarks & Notes
One of Alco's rarest locomotives was the 800 hp S-5 switcher. Only seven were built, and the Boston & Maine had six of them. Sharp-looking B&M 863 pushed cars over the Boston freight yard hump at Mystic Junction in Somerville, MA, on a fall afternoon.
