A U28CG, an FP45 and two F45’s lift Santa Fe’s combined Super Chief - El Capitan around Wootton Ranch curve in Colorado headed up to the highest point on the AT&SF Ry. at Raton Pass, 7588-ft. This was the first railroad into the state of New Mexico. Photo date Aug. 1, 1970.
