From monday to friday, there are two peak hours (HVZ=Haupt Verkehrs Zeit) trains between Romanshorn and Zürich (called S 23) and vice versa, with a 10 car doubledeck train and Re 420 LION top and tail in multiple. This trains habe a capacity of 1266 seats (7 second class cars and 3 first/second class cars). Both trains are stabled in Romanshorn overnight and during the weekends usually. But now, the doubletrack line between Frauenfeld and Weinfelden is completely closed for rebuilding of the overhead wire system from july 29th to august 6th, so the trains are returning from Romanshorn to Zürich in the evening. This is empty train 32068 from Romanshorn to Zürich Herden with Re 420 # 203 leading and Re 420 # 218 in the rear, between Erlen and Sulgen.
