Running more than 15 minutes ahead of schedule, Amtrak's westbound Cardinal No. 51 heads for Huntington, W.Va., from Charleston, W.Va., on the CSX's ex-C&O mainline. With a scheduled arrival in Charleston of 8:29 p.m., it is very rare that that the Cardinal make a daylight appearance on its westward journey through St. Albans.
