It may look like unit coal, but it’s actually D&H RPPY (symbolled as R403 on CSX), powered by NS C39-8 8605 and NS GP38AC 4113, westbound—main to No. 1—at Rossville (mp 84.4) on CSX's Philadelphia Sub on September 9, 1989. Interestingly, RPPY’s counterpart, PYRP (CSX R402), was being held on Track 2, perhaps 600 ft behind the camera, waiting for the westbounder to clear the single-tracked main.
