| "THE RAILROAD KITTY"... The merger of the C&O Railroad with B&O Railroad and Western Maryland Railway in 1972, gave way to the formation of the Chessie System. This new companies logo would become the letter "C" with an outline of a sleeping cat in it. This famous logo has survived after all these years, still remaining on rolling stock throughout the CSX System. |
