The sleepy rural community of Nichols, SC is getting back on its feet after flooding from Hurricane Matthew ravaged the town some 6 months ago. Virtually the entire town was flooded and almost all the locals were forced to leave, many returning to find their homes a total loss. In a small community like this, the devastation continues for many months to come. Even today, very few businesses are open in the town. One business that is fortunate to be up and running is Carolina Eastern. Here they are having their Potash cars picked up by the RJ Corman crew as the train runs the "street" in downtown Nichols with the former Carolina Southern 951 leading.
