Remarks & Notes

Purchased soon after the Virginia & Truckee connected to the Central Pacific, 2-6-0 #13, "Empire", was delivered from M. Baird & Co. in 1873. Since 1981, "Empire" has been on display inside the California State Railroad Museum surrounded by mirrors.
