An American tradition comes to an end... After 146 years of entertaining families all across America, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is making its final visit to Charleston, W.Va., on its second to last performance ever. When a local family learned that the Blue Unit would be passing through Watco's Kanawha River Railroad, they gathered in the streets of the coal mining town of Slab Fork to give one last salute to the Greatest Show on Earth.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
This is dedicated (with permission) to the skilled and gifted photographer - Chase Gunnoe - who regularly posts and is on staff with RP. I believe he deserves a gallery showcasing his remarkable photos. This is for you Chase! (More great photos to come!)
A compilation of my favorite photographs taken from a slightly different point of view, images that catch your eye right from the thumbnail. These aren't your typical 3/4 wedgie aim & shoot pix, but well executed compositions, truly works of art.
