Barstow, California? Argentine, Kansas? Nope… North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. During this era on Wisconsin Central, untouched 3,600 h.p. locomotives from the Santa Fe were common. WC acquired 31 SD45s and two F45s from Santa Fe in August 1994—and bought one more SD45, a FP45 and four more F45s a few months later in May of 1995. There were time then that the locomotive facility at North Fond du Lac looked like Santa Fe property!
