Catching the late evening light at Redondo Junction, Amtrak's west coast painted Veteran's units AMTK 42 and AMTK 90208 look sharp as they're readied to participate in the upcoming California Passenger Rail Summit at Los Angeles Union Station. The rails in the foreground rest atop the ex-Santa Fe Railway turntable here - still used daily by Amtrak to turn locomotives as it has done since 1927.
