BNSF is experiencing a “grain rush” at the end of winter 2017. Closely following a BNSF grain train that passed only a few minutes before, another loaded grain train crosses the long bridge over Lake Pend Oreille from Sandpoint to Algoma, Idaho, on February 27, 2017. An eastbound empty grain train has pulled up to the end of double track at West Algoma and waits its turn for track over the bridge.
