Remarks & Notes

With all the great photos of Amtrak GP38H-3 #520 leading its first revenue passenger train as the sole power in many years, I thought it would be fitting to show an example of this unit 20 years ago resting at Southampton Street yard in Boston. With only 8 of this type ever built, they're a rather rare species with a short nose and extended long hood.
