Remarks & Notes

Coal trains along the Aurora Sub have been few and far between over the years. Reroutes and detours have been about it, and the occasional Burns Harbor train from Canada. Coal isn't something that goes this way much. Back in 1998 for some reason a Chicago bound coal train snakes along the Mississippi River south of Lynxville. Back in the 90's coal trains here meant different power from the normal Northern Transcon stuff. Here 4 C30-7's chug along with a neat consist for this era back then!
