Remarks & Notes
HMCR B39-8Es 8524, 8527 and 8539 are parked on the HMCR mainline with a train of covered hoppers just north of the Bob Wallace Ave crossing in Huntsville, AL. In a siding to the right are HMCR SW9 8933 and HMCR B39-8E 8560. The 8524 is in a D&H inspired paint scheme for use on the Saratoga and North Creek Railway (a former owner of the locomotive). The SW9 is stored and has been out of service for over two years. In addition to the four active B39-8Es, the HMCR also has a U23B and a B23-7 on its active roster.
