| Metro North over the Rockaway River Trestle
New Jersey Transit train #1074 with Metro North power 4914 is pushing east on the recently repaired trestle over the Rockaway river. at Boonton NJ. The trestle section as shown below was once part of a road way that went completely under the trestle and up on a steep incline to Morris Avenue on the other side. The trestle is one of four trestles built over a 100 years ago. Currently only two trestles remain. |
