As the BN started getting DP-AC power, they started messing around with DP-ing heavy units trains across their network. Late in 1995 they started testing stuff out on their taconite trains out of Minnesota bound for Granite City, IL. Here an empty heads back to Minnesota for loading, up front is 9715 and 9714, 3/4 of the ways back is the 9713 and 9716 in DP. Not sure how many tests they ran, but did one in 1x1x1x1 setup, and also did one using the DP in ATSF SF30C's.
