A special visitor leads NS train 36T eastbound on the NS Lehigh Line at Walnutport, PA. The 36T was very late on this day account of numerous incidents plaguing their trip across Penobscot Mountain on the Reading and Northern. Earlier in the day, the 36T stalled coming up the former LV Mountain Cutoff between Dupont and Seidel. After cutting away from their train and sanding the rails ahead, twice, they finally topped the mountain sometime around noon. An 8am Binghamton recrew boarded the train at Seidel and they then continued south. In the vicinity of Rockport, the 36T recrew noticed an issue in their train, which caused them to stop and inspect the head end of consist. A stuck brake was found and the problem remedied. Thankfully, the delays made for an easy early afternoon chase down the valley of the Lehigh River to Allentown.
