As the blue hour approaches on a rainy, cold and dreary December day in 1983, an eastbound Toledo, Peoria and Western freight switches the grain elevator at Wolcott, Indiana. TP&W only has a few more weeks to live, as the December 31, 1983, merger with the Santa Fe is looming ever closer.
