Remarks & Notes
BNSF 7122 leads an eastbound empty oil train over U. S. 2 and into Winton Tunnel as the train descends the Stevens Pass grade on the way into Wenatchee, WA. This location is about 36 miles west of Wenatchee, and will take a little over an hour to cover barring meets. The train will go through Winton and Swede tunnels, cross the Wenatchee River, then go through Chumstick Tunnel before using the Chumstick Valley to reach Leavenworth and the Wenatchee River Valley into Wenatchee. Loaded westbound oil trains do not use this route due to grades.
