Remarks & Notes

Denver & Rio Grande Western #489, a 1925 K36 mikado storms upgrade into Tanglefoot Curve with a 30 car freight train bound for Chama and ultimately the oilfields around Farmington, NM. While the narrow gauge mianline is history, charters like this one, a Friends of the C&TS excursion recreate history for those of us who were born too late.
