Remarks & Notes

PT-98 rolls toward Portland with five light units, all in "corporate" paint. The crew had dropped their train at Gravel Place and would later bring a heavy train west from the NS interchange at Portland with these five units leading and two units pushing on the hind end. The former Lackawanna "cut-off" Delaware River bridge can be seen in the background. That line has been devoid of rails for over 30 years but there has been talk of restoring passenger service in the future.
