Remarks & Notes
One half of LIRR's L2 class C420's (222-229) rest at Holban Yard awaiting their next freight train assignment. Bumped by GP38-2's from most passenger runs in 1976, 22 of the C420's were retired, and only the 8 units with hi-aid trucks were kept. These units are still set up, as built in 1968, for long hood forward operation.
