Remarks & Notes
21 years after becoming a part of the Union Pacific Railroad, Chicago & Northwestern yellow and green finds itself on the point of a westbound unit tank train, carefully drifting down the western slope of Cajon Pass. UP 6706, which started life as C&NW 8804, still proudly wears its as delivered colors, colors which along with Southern Pacific scarlet & grey are slowly passing into history as the older motors are being run through the North Little Rock paint booth.
