Remarks & Notes

In an environment composed of steel, rocks and behemoth trains rolling pass only inches away, an example of the amazing power of nature and life can be seen. While waiting on a northbound train to arrive, I noticed this small tree growing directly between a rail spike and its tie plate. This definitely isn't a place you'd think a tree would grow, but the beauty of life prevails in sometimes the most hostile environments.
