With the sunlight fading behind the western ladscape, four mighty GE locomotives snake their way through the Coconino Pine Forest near Flagstaff, Ariz. Here, this Los Angeles bound intermodal train moves at snail speed up the 1.5% grade towards the 7,000 foot high summit of the Arizona Divide. From there, the crew will make a night time run across the northern Arizona region to the Colorado River Basin; and the crew changing point of Needles, Calif.
