A lone F40PH strolls back to the yard in Rochester after dropping off MBTX 1714 at the MBTA Yard in Middleboro. Usually this job, operated by Mass Coastal, uses a Mass Coastal locomotive, but today 1056 was used. 1056 was overhauled by Pan Am in Waterville, ME and was also painted into a one-of-a-kind MassDOT paint scheme.
