A couple of thunderstorms continue to build east of Jasper, Alberta, on the afternoon of August 7, 2016. Just west of the station, VIA Rail EMD F40PH-3 No. 6455 rests on a spur track and is being used protection power for trains 1 & 2 and 5 & 6. Canadian National’s main line through town is busy too as CN No. 102 arrives for a crew change, while in the background, a westbound is about ready to head out.
