Remarks & Notes
Several Rio Grande and Southern Pacific tunnel motors were repainted in Union Pacific livery after the UP-SP merger in 1996. Former SP SD45T-2 No. 6857 received a new number, a new paint job, and a replacement 16-cylinder, 3000 HP prime mover courtesy of VMV in Paducah, Kentucky. The 4795 is pictured at Provo Yard when assigned to the LJI42 local on Sept. 26, 1999.
