Remarks & Notes
The McKeesport Connecting Railroad was built to connect its owner, the National Tube Works, later the US Steel National Plant, with the nearby B&O, P&LE, and PRR. Here the road’s bicentennial contribution moves some finished product around the mill at McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The road was formally merged into the Union Railroad on the first day of 2013.
