The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society's 1944 Lima 2-8-4 Berkshire sits at the Metra Western Avenue Shop after spending the afternoon on display at Franklin Park Fest's Railroad Day. Tomorrow the engine will power "The Varsity" Steam Excursion to Janesville, WI and back. To the right are a pair of Metra EMD's; an F40PH-3, and one of the recently acquired Ex-GOT F59PH's. A huge thanks goes to Marshall Beecher for the lights and hospitality.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
