On a miserable, rainy early winter day, a westbound VIA Rail LRC makes a station stop at Cornwall, Ontario. We were looking for classic 1950’s cab units, and it was a disappointment to see a distant headlight grow into a less-than-classic replacement for our quarry. Three decades later, the LRC’s aesthetics still haven’t won me over.
