In a year and a half, the last train will cross this 1905-built double-track bridge over the Pequea (Peck'-way) Creek on Conrail's Enola Branch. The 634-foot long X 150-foot high bridge was restored to pedestrian traffic in 2015 for $750,000, using mostly state grants. It's now an important link in the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail. The 2778 was built by GE for the Lehigh Valley in November, 1974, and was later acquired from Conrail by Wimpey Minerals in Camden, NJ.
