The final eastbound Rio Grande Zephyr, behind schedule due to a late bus connection at Glenwood Springs, makes a final journey through De Beque Canyon. For the last several weeks of the Zephyr's existence, a catastrophic landslide that severed the Rio Grande main line at Thistle, Utah forced the RGZ to travel only as far west as Grand Junction, with connecting bus service to the west.
