| With the down turn in business and the new power the CN is getting this year, CN has been placing alot of power in storage. The barn units have been taking the biggest hit for storage. On this day roughly only 20-25 2400's series units out of 55 were in service. That number changes daily as power comes in and out of storage/use status.
Here the westbound empty ADM Shuttle train is bound for loading at Yetter, IA. The train is seen here dipping thru the hogback at MP 267, near Raymond on the Dubuque Sub. Lucky for me this rare afternoon westbound had a barn leader as barn leader have been hard to come by in 2016! |
