CNW 1753, a torpedo tubed GP9, relaxes in the late spring sun at Valley Park, MN between local/switching assignments. This Geep featured CNW's original paint scheme of the late 50s, wearing a simplified victory stripe scheme. In this case, some repairs have added a bit of additional striping above the pilot. These lower panels likely came from a GP7 which wore full striping. Additionally, the left and right panels have been placed "wrong" creating a bit of an X on the nose.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
