An eastbound Southern Pacific freight heads north on the railroad's East Valley Line, passing through the small town of Sheridan, California. Led by a trio of Tunnel Motors, SP SD45T-2 9232 (built in May 1972) is on the point. The train is seen crossing Sheridan Lincoln Boulevard (Old Highway 65), and is passing one of the unusual (for Southern Pacific) triangular tri-light signals found on the East Valley Line.
